Back when most people in the US didn’t even know Back when most people in the US didn’t even know what drifting was, we were already sliding at full throttle. In the early 2000s NASA Mid Atlantic created @USDrift & @HyperFest. We were one of the first to bring drifting from Japan into the US mainstream, and to real US racetracks for the first time. We started at @SummitPointMP & grew into @VIRnow. This 2005 news segment was filmed a few years after we got rolling, when drifting still felt wild, new, and straight up confusing to most of the country. Fast forward to today & drifting is global & @HyperFest is still the biggest stage on the East Coast for drivers and fans to experience it up close. See you at @HyperFest!
