RIP Michael Bridges

It is with a heavy heart that we relay the news of the passing of Michael Bridges. His father Steve has been a member of the NASA Mid Atlantic family as our Starter at VIR for 20 seasons. In 2003, Michael at the age of 12 began running results sheets and doing other critical errands at the events, earning him the title “Runner Boy”. At age 18 Michael began working corners for NASA MA and continued through the 2020 season. He was regarded as a true professional, protecting drivers with care, respect and diligence. He loved the sport. At the end of each day he looked forward to engaging with the drivers who benefited greatly from his enthusiasm and unique perspective on a corner. He will be greatly missed by the NASA MA family. All services will be private but Steve and the Bridges family wish to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
